LET ME BE YOUR ONLY AUDIENCE — Everyone has a story worth telling

As a performing artist, Hin has amassed a number of fans but none of them are ever as adoring as his number one fan, Kerry who also happens to be his girlfriend. Hin and Kerry show us a different kind of love from most young couples. A love that surpasses the passage of time and many trials.

Being a young couple, one would expect excessive displays of affection verging on being annoying.

But instead, their love is subtle, reflecting in only on the littlest things; the inside jokes; the rare but meaningful hand holding; and the firm and continue support and care they offer each other. This could be because they are shy, or perhaps, it's because they have been in love for over ten years.

"She takes care for me well, I mean really well.” During the year of 2015, after Hin failed to enter the final round of the Yo-Yo World Contest, he was disappointed and determined to enter next year. “I spent almost every single minute of my time on practicing for the whole year, and thanks for Kerry taking care the little details for me during that period, I made it through… and it was also when I realised that Kerry is the one for me in life.” - Hin

“Yo-Yo is a good thing between us, although I have to said he spend a lot of time on it,” said Kerry, when asked the role of Yo-Yo in their relationship. “I am the agent of the group (Let’s Yo Professional Yo-Yo Performance group) now, but it began only because I have already taken care everything for him anyway.”

“Yo-Yo also keeps us busy, in a good way, all the scheduling for performances, traveling for the contest, practice, etc ... it keeps it exciting.”

Kerry and Hin have been beginning dating short time after they met in 2006. Like many puppy love in high school, they met through a tutoring program; but unlike many other puppy love which ending within months, their love overcame the challenges of time and hardships; and with years of nurturing, their love grew and flourished.

“If there is any secret to having a long term relationship, it will be no matter how long you have been dating with your partner. Don’t take them for granted in any way possible.” Hin advises. “After a while of dating, it’s easy to “get used to” each other, and easy to let your guard down. But Kerry and I are always conscious about it. We always dress nicely to please each other; we always treat each other with manner, pleases and thank yous, etc. I believe those are important.” - Hin

“He told me that if I want to, he can give up Yo-Yo entirely, and put all his time on making money so we can get married. But I said no to that.” - Kerry

Despite being one of the be the best Yo-Yo player in the world, Hin clearly knows his priorities. Kerry comes before yo-yo. “When you are truly committed to relationships, nothing will be considered as sacrificing,” Kerry said when asked if she feels they have sacrificed too much for this relationships. Seconds after Hin added, "In fact, I believe it is all worth it.”
